Minneapolis Weekly Grain Summary

Prices for the week ending Thursday, November 15, 2018

**The prices for spring wheat on the spot rail market are now quoted Delivered 
Chicago for Beyond.** 

The milling wheat cash prices were mostly higher this week. Supply continues to be 
light.

**Spring Wheat: Prices are for US 1 Dark Northern Spring Wheat with less than 2.0 ppm 
Vomitoxin. The 12 pct protein wheat had no quote. The 13 pct protein wheat had no 
quote. The 13.5 pct protein was 0.25 lower to 4.75 cents higher from 7.0475*-7.0975, 
the basis 5 to 10 cents higher from 130 to 135 cents over the December futures 
delivered Chicago for Beyond. The 14 pct protein had no comparison at 7.1475, the 
basis had no comparison at 140 over the December future delivered Chicago for Beyond. 
The 14.5 pct had no quote. The 15's were 9.75 to 14.75 cents higher from 7.1975-
7.2475 the basis was 15 to 20 cents higher from 145 to 150 cents over the December 
futures delivered Chicago for Beyond. The 20 day to-arrive truck delivery for 12 pct 
protein HRW bid into Minneapolis was 17.25 cents lower at 5.60, the basis was steady 
at 80 cents over the December Hard Red Winter Wheat futures. 

  Barley: Robust Malting Barley 60 pct or better plump max. 2.0 ppm vomitoxin had no 
quote. The to-arrive bid for 1.0 ppm vomitoxin rail delivered to Minneapolis had had 
no quote. Feed Barley delivered into Duluth closed the week with no bid. Feed Barley 
delivered into Minneapolis was steady with a bid of 2.60.

  Corn: US 2 Yellow Corn was 2 cents lower at 3.3350 with the basis at 34 cents under 
the December futures. The to-arrive bids for corn are: Last/half April at 3.2475, May 
at 3.2575, June at 3.5650, and July at 3.5750.

  Oats: US 2 or better Oats had no quote on the spot market. The To-arrive bids for 
oats were 0.50 to 3.50 cents higher from 2.8825-3.5225, the basis was 2 to 5 cents 
lower from 4 cents under the December futures to 60 cents over the December futures.
  
  Soybeans: US 1 Yellow Soybeans were 23.75 cents higher at 8.2675 with the basis at 
62 cents under the January futures. The to-arrive bids for soybeans are: Last/half 
April at 8.5150, May at 8.5350, June at 8.64, and July at 8.66.
